“The tall man of your dreams may just be the tall man of your dreams”

We all have a type. As much as most of us (including me) want to admit that we don’t; we do. When it comes to the physical qualities of your perfect mate, the hetero-dream (for women) is that your guy is way taller than you. This is a very common standard because, in the human eye, it looks “aesthetically-pleasing” when the man is much taller than the woman (even with six-inch heels on). We need to dead this idea and stop being shallow.

Just like how men are conditioned to see a specific body type in women, women are conditioned to think taller men are the flex and the ideal standard. But the truth is, height is not what makes a man. We’re just conditioned to think it is. The taller the man, the manlier he is but hyper-masculinity? We don’t know her.

Unfortunately, most men (maybe just in Toronto) seem to range from the average height of 5’8″-5’10”. They no longer touch six feet. Regardless of your standards, you are more than likely to end up with a guy who is the same height as you or slightly shorter.

If you’re 5’3″ and below please disregard, because height should NOT matter to you. The shortest guy you’ll find is probably 5’6″. But for my average height to tall girls, the tall man of your dreams may just be the tall man in your dreams. I know reading that hurt. But there is hope, you can look cute with a short guy!
