Can we get an AMEN for the looks served tonight?
Every year fashion enthusiasts and art fanatics look forward to the first Monday in May, also known as the coveted Met Gala. This year’s controversially risqué theme was inspired by none other than the Catholic Church. Titled Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, those invited had the freedom to dive into the exchange between fashion and the church. Saints and Sinners walked the red carpet but only a few made it past the gates of heavens-in other words had a memorable look. From halos to crosses and trains longer than prayers, we saw it all. We narrowed down, in no particular order, the best 11 looks from the red carpet, obviously choosing the ones who escaped the devil’s wrath a.k.a a terribly executed look.
