This may come to a surprise for those who know about my fashion capabilities, but I do have days where I don’t know what to wear. I would sit there and stare at my closet then waver my eyes up North where God is, hoping He’d bless me with an upgraded version of Cher Horowitz’s outfit selection machine. I’m still waiting…it hasn’t happened yet. I guess I’ll just have to pray more.

It’s probably the top #firstworldproblems I can openly say I have. Sometimes creativity for an outfit isn’t there right away. When this happens, which may be like once or twice a month, I just go towards the pieces of clothing I have an endless supply of. Denim.

I have so much denim in my closet I might as well have a store. I’ve cleared it out a couple times — given it away to charity, put them in a garbage bag and gave to my dad to send to Africa, all that stuff. Yet, I still have an endless supply. It’s probably because every time I remove denim I add denim. I love denim. Clearly.

I think that’s why my best outfits are usually denim-on-denim. I’ve currently been obsessed with the look. It could also be the Canadian in me that just can’t help it.

I think a denim-on-denim look is super easy to pull off and the best bold outfit to have. You can literally wear a denim-on-denim look during any season and your denim (the shade) doesn’t always have to match.

The denim itself creates a bold statement to your look. Sprinkling a little bit of glam (like accessorizing) will take the denim to another level. Go for bold earrings, bold coloured shoes, and belts.
