FACE

Using a small flat brush usually used for concealer, I evenly distribute the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation by adding dots around Prescylla’s face. Then with a sponge I use a tapping motion – DO NOT DRAG THE SKIN – to blend out the foundation. There are different ways to blend your foundation. You can use a stippling or buffer brush, a foundation brush, a sponge or your hands. Each instrument gives a different finish. With a sponge, you want to add more product than usual on your face since the sponge does absorb a lot of the product.

HIGHLIGHT

It’s important to find the right colour for your highlight. Especially with dark skin tones, it’s hard to find the right shade that doesn’t look ghost-like. Your highlight shouldn’t be outrageously light to the point where it’s white on your face. It should only be 2-3 shades lighter than your skin tone. You apply your light concealer/foundation underneath your eyes drawing inverted triangles, down your nose, you chin and on your forehead.  You want to highlight these areas on the face because it’s the area that’s most noticeable on your face. It’s the first thing people look at.

Now for actual shimmer highlight, some people like to go crazy. Again, it’s all up to the person wearing it. These are applied at the top of your cheek bones, down the bridge of your nose and on your cupid’s bow.

EYES

For this look, since it’s a “glam” fall look, we wanted to add a bit of shimmer in to the mix. I added this beauty pearl-silver colour all over the lids and a dark blue shadow on her crease. Then we topped the look with a winged liner and heavy coats of mascara.

LIPS

Although it was not shown on the video, if you’re going to be wearing such a bold colour like the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania, line your lips first! Prescylla’s lips were lined with MAC’s Nightmoth. Other than the fact that lipliners can affect the longevity of your lipstick, it will prevent the lipstick/lip cream to bleed out. You will be ensure with clean lines on your lips.
